How to Brace and Unbrace a Recurve Bow

This method is for those of you looking to quickly brace or unbrace your bow. There are several methods available, but this method is for those of you looking for a quick fix.

Using this method bracing a bow will eventually cause a limb to twist at which time if the bow is a 1-piece bow you can hang the bow on a wall for a conversation piece. If it's a takedown bow you can buy a new limb or limbs if they (limbs) are available, which they are not always. If it's a newly purchased (modern) bow and you use this method the mfg will not honor any warranty.

Just want to add that if you brace your bow to often this way, that it will probably twist/bend your limbs... though it can be very helpful sometimes

i could destring it like this but not restring. The Pull and Whatever its made out of (feels like some kind of metal but probably isn't) makes it too hard to bend like that. Had to order a stinger =/

I bought a bow Polaris Samick today and in shop recomend me, that bow string should bend two people in order that the bow was not damage. Now I tryed it by your video alone.. it is soo easy. You very helped me! Thanks for this video.

This helped alot! Not on how to string my gpas bow but to realize that he had it wrong and that he left the wrong string lol
