Avan's "Carbonated Spring Series" enables consumers to easily turn their home bath into a carbonated spring.
A carbonated spring is a mineral water spring that contains carbonated gas, and according to Japan's Onsen Law a carbonated spring must contain over 1,000 ppm (parts per million) of carbonated gas to be classified as a carbonated spring. Unfortunately, there are a limited number of natural carbonated hot springs in Japan. These include a portion of the Arima Onsen, the Nagayu Onsen in Oita Prefecture, and the Myoken Onsen in Kagoshima Prefecture.
Avan's "Sukoyaka Onsen" is easy to set up and features compact design that can be used efficiently in a limited space. By simply connecting the system to the bathtub water faucet, the bathtub hot water is circulated as it becomes a carbonated spring. With a small capacity tub, it takes just 10 minutes to turn it into a relaxing highly carbonated spring.
In addition, Avan is developing its line-up to include a relaxing warm footbath made of Hinoki or cypress wood for three people to enjoy together and a "carbonated spa chair" that combines the therapeutic benefits of a carbonated spring and germanium bath which is a popular detox bath for removing metabolic waste.
