they should have called this the Beret sessions

Got themselves out of a jam, so so speak, around, 5:00. Love both Bruce's solo and his swinging fingerstyle accompaniment, bang on the 2 and the 4. A great player like Rik Emmett is doing well to hang in there. If I'd been there, I'd a' been wearing a baguette.

The berets were just props. Rik says "We've got our little berets",in honour of the fact that they were going to play "Nuages" by Django Reinhardt who, although a gypsy born in Belgium, performed in Paris for many years. They were just having a bit of fun with it.

He is only wearing a red barrette (sp?) if he were a guardian angel that barrette would have a Guardian Angel patch for identification plus that bright t shirt of theirs I believe..

I did not know Rik was a" Guardian Angel"!

Bruce is my favorite musician in the world, but I gotta say the Rocket outplays him here. Thanks for a great video!

the berets are so embarrassing now

'81! Yikes! Wonderful vid! Thanks for sharing, Val. How's your w/e going?

From 1981. It is really something to see this enjoyable video.
You have some top notch videos on your channel.
Well done.
Cool thing about Bruce is how diverse his guitar playing skill is. This video proves that. He can finger pick with the best of them, jazz, blues, and he can rock out on the electric when he wants to. I think Cockburn and Lindsay Buckingham are two of the most underrated guitar players around.
