History is the story of conquest. Where did the Mexicans get the land? From the Indians, right? And when they migrated in, they conquered other, more primitive peoples. Plus, the Indian tribes fought amongst themselves for territory. Anyway, had Texas not won independence, it would today be just another piece of poor, corrupt, sad Mexico, whose population would be swimming the Red and Sabine Rivers to go to America.
