@SFFOOL76 Before the NCAA put the standard 3 pointer at the top of the arch, different conferences had different standards. I believe Utah was in the WAC. The WAC must have had the inside the arc 17' 9" line. The ACC had that line as well!

My Dad took me to the Flyers games, Starting in the late 70's. I saw Jimmy Paxson, Jack Zimmerman, and all those guys. Never saw a player like #22 Roosevelt Chapman!!! Thanks for all those childhood memories Velvet !!!!

@SFFOOL76. Certain conferences had the 3pt line even before the NCAA officially adopted it in 1986-1987. Only teams with the conferences could use that shot. For instance, if its a nonconference game, you go to the NCAA rule of the 2pt line.
