Formerly known as "Meridian Hill", Malcolm X Park, located at 16th St, NW between Florida Ave and Euclid St, NW, is DC's own little hippie oasis amidst spooky historic statues, Renaissance-esque architectures, and cascading pools. Malcolm X Park is not only a regular gathering spot for many of DC's political rallies and protests (thus the name), every Sunday afternoon, this scenic refuge becomes the hearth of free-spirits, hoop dancers, poi spinners, joggers, cyclists, dogs, musicians, artists, jugglers, and soccer players.
