One of the most suspicious Senate upsets in 2002 was Max Clelands defeat in Georgia by chicken-hawk Republican Saxby Chambliss. Pre-election polls gave Cleland a 5 percent lead, but Chambliss won by 7 percent in an election that was entirely conducted by Diebold Corporation. Immediately prior to the election, Diebolds CEO illegally altered the software in the touch-screen machines which counted the votes. Chambliss knows a stolen election when he sees one.
