R.B. Greaves - Take A Letter Maria

What I have here is a one sided promotional 45 that is more likely a test pressing. The label used to put out records as one sided test copies quickly so they could be rushed off to radio stations, sometimes they did these on laquers and sometimes they did them on vinyl. In this case, the record issue number was already picked out (it wasn't always, by the time the record was pressed up). It's neat to wonder where stuff like this has come from over the years, what radio station it could've been at or which record man was using it to promote the tune...it adds a neat mystery to the record in addition to being a good song.
