Ethnic Dance Chicago presented the 2008 Chicagoland Fall Ball in Conjunction with the Chicago World Music Festival on Friday, September 19, 2008. The event featured Bulgarian and Armenian Dance Workshops presented by Yuliyan Yordanov (Madison, WI), Forrest Johnson (Milwaukee, WI) and Paul Collins (Chicago, IL) and live music by the Kabile Bitov Orchestra (Bulgarian) and the Richard Hagopian Kef Time Band (Armenian). The event was held at the Chicago Latvian Center. Maria Ilieva shot video during the event and this footage appeared on Bulgarian National Television.
Ethnic Dance Chicago (EDC) is a multi-ethnic, multi-generational community of people who enjoy the dances and music of many countries and ethnic groups from around the world. As our motto indicates, we regard "Dancing As A Second Language". Ethnic Folk Dancing is a great social mixer and aerobic workout.
