  • To my understanding, entitlement programs in America like education and healthcare are exploited by illegals, and that's the crux of our problem. For aliens who don't qualify, they find jobs that Americans who qualify for unemployment or welfare will not take. I've spoken to farmers who will hire 20+ people per year who come in and do a shitty job just so they can be fired and still qualify for welfare. Cut entitlements, eliminate a lot of problems on both sides of the border.

  • @StatelessLiberty This isn't necessarily incorrect, but just outside the scope of the entitlement problem with respect to immigration. However, the problem lies not in immigrants who are citizens, but rather in immigrants who are here and making little or no contributions economically while sending their kids to public school and hospitals while on welfare.

  • @djb5255 Not really. By far the biggest beneficiaries of the welfare state are the elderly though social security. Immigrants tend to be young, so they tend to pay more taxes than they receive.

  • @djb5255

That's exactly the problem that Milton Friedman outlined.

If you don't give immigrants welfare or entitlements, then they're forced to get a proper job.

  • Regulation, and Govt is the problem, not immigration...there would be plenty of jobs for everyone, not 0 percent unemployment, but a pretty good economy, if we were a free market and didnt support govt stimulus and subsidized poor behavior and solyndra

  • was that Pancho Villa ?

  • @SuperSkarmDG

That is dead wrong, Skarm. Christians are killed regularly in nations where atheism is the state religion, such as China and North Vietnam. Their only crime is loving their creator, which these nations see as some sort of threat. Atheism is a religion, and it's just as bad as any out there.

  • "Come to the USA"- by Ray Stevens is so true!

  • @SuperSkarmDG

Well that makes ALL the difference then!

Well not actually, no. It makes none at all, but I'm sure you gotta take what you can get.

  • @SouthParkBear I know many people have been killed by atheists. But you have to notice that none were killed in the name of their (ir)religion. However many wars started by theists were because of their religion.

  • @AresCassell

Because they have a caste-system where the rich are richer and the poor are poorer.

Carlos Slim is richer than Bill Gates, but Mexico's poor are 40% of the population.

So naturally they use America as their welfare-system.

And America does nothing, because the Republicans want cheap labor while the Democrats want a welfare-state; and so the difference is that the American taxpayer takes it up the wazoo in taxes to pay for services AND wage-cuts from competition.
