Michael Pollan was the keynote speaker for the 11th annual Food for Thought Festival held on September 26, 2009 in Madison, Wisconsin. Mr. Pollan is introduced by Claire Strader, who was elected to serve as the "White House Farmer" in a popular online poll. The annual Food for Thought Festival is a fun, festive forum that explores and celebrates our many opportunties to eat more pleasurably, healthfully and sustainably. Past festival speakers include Alice Waters, Mollie Katzen, José Bové, Frances Moore Lappé and several other accomplished cooks, writers and advocates for a sustainable food system.
