Sights and Sounds of Paris: Part Two explores some of the best-known museums in Paris, beginning with Le Musée du Louvre, the oldest and largest museum in Europe. Here we see the famous Mona Lisa (La Joconde) by Leonardo da Vinci, and the Venus de Milo. At the Musée d'Orsay we see celebrated French art of the 1800s. The Musée Rodin is filled with moving works by the greatest sculptor since Michelangelo, while the unique architecture of the Pompidou Centre provides a backdrop to buskers and street performers.
SPECIAL TOPIC: Jean-Louis Lioret escorts us around the fascinating Père-Lachaise cemetery, where we discover the tombstones of many of the city and the worlds most illustrious dead.
