Dino Thunder | Revamped Opening Credits

What's the point of this?:
I love Dino Thunder. And I have nothing, at all, against the real credits. But to me, the season had so much unlocked potential that I LOVE to mess around with. This was for smiles and giggles. I wanted to see what it'd be like if the show had a dramatic, epic TV show opening credits.

I HATE to be blunt, but I know I'll be getting a lot of these comments. No, I'm not vidding again. I'm actually wrapping it up. I'm really sorry, but real life takes a call, and you have to answer it. I just want to pop out some last nifty things before I pack my bags :)

How did you make this?:
Patience, skill, and practice. But if you're wondering what program I used for the effects, it was Adobe After Effects.

What music did you use?:
The music is by an composer named Henry Jackman. Check out his stuff.

Where'd you get the spinning DT logo?:
Created it myself.

Is all the material in this from Dino Thunder?:
Yes. Nothing is outside material of any other show, movie, ect. The opening credits used some footage from DT's promo ads back in '04, and "a new destiny" is from the Tommy Trilogy promotion back in the same year. Everything I use is from Dino Thunder specifically. Talk about dedication!

Why didn't you add "Dino Thunder" text?:
There was no way I could add that and make it look 'dramatic and epic' I side-stepped it and used the logo as a way of representing the show. And frankly, I think that works so much better than text.

Dino Thunder had a lot of different opening credits...featuring a lot of actor/footage changes. Where does this one come in?:
I didn't really pick a place for it. Obviously, if you MUST question, it'd be during the last few episodes, as Tommy and Trent are in place, and Elsa and Mesogog have been revealed to be Randall and Anton. And to answer another question within a question, no, I will not be making more versions of this without Tommy and Trent as Rangers, or Anton and Randal revealed. There's no point in that, no one would care.

Why does it say "Starring" Tommy Oliver?:
Don't ask me, ask Doug Sloan. I copied the text straight out from the original credits! It has nothing to do with me being a Tommy fan.

Why aren't Cassidy and Devin in the credits?:
Honestly, this was a tough one for me. I made two versions of this, and ended up scraping the one with Cassidy and Devin. No matter what I did or tried, they broke the third wall. The whole point of the project was to make Dino Thunder look much more epic. And there was no true epic, dramatic shots of Cassidy or Devin to fit in. Do NOT assume I'm haters of those characters. In fact, I love 'em. But I got many second opinions, and all agreed it would be best if I just stretched out the time for Elsa and Mesogog. Once again - I am NOT hating.

Why isn't Hayley in the credits?:
Another tough one for me. I felt Hayley was a big part of Dino Thunder, and the lack of her in the credits always upset me. But while I wanted to make things more epic, I also wanted to stay very true to the original line-up from the real credits. By adding things that weren't there, it'd also break the third wall. Maybe I'll make another set of credits - my own way ;)

How long did this take?:
About two weeks. I worked on it every chance I could get, in-between work shifts and on my days off.

Can you show me how to do this? Or make a tutorial?:
If I had the time to make a tutorial, I'd be making a whole lot more of my own videos. Sadly, it was pure motivation and zombie muse bunnies that spawned this. Otherwise, I'd have never even started. I'm afraid I don't have the time. But if you're curious as to the After Effects part of this video, there are plenty of those tutorials here on YouTube.

Last but not least, I'd love everyone to check out a fanfiction that inspired my busy ass to put this together. "The Legacy of Tommy Oliver" takes you in-between Dino Thunder episodes, either adding things onto the actual plot or creating a new plot within the episode. Holy jesus! I've seen some pretty good fan made openings but damn I've never seen anyone take a PR season and make it look like something that shows right after SMALLVILLE! This was great! Absolutely great! Great credits, loved the squares as the transition for the ranger and their respective color. Excellent song too! Just perfect!

One: SOOOO much better than what they had, your videos are so wonderful and I'm sorry to see you go.

Two: as to the question "Why does it say "Starring" Tommy Oliver?" I think I can answer this. I think it has to do something with him being in movies or becoming a bigger celebrity after leaving the series during Turbo. IMO it's just some stupid shit to make them feel more important when doing a 'lowly' tv series for kids.

And being a Tommy fan, I'm more than O.K with it saying "Starring" ;) I just know a lot of...'non-Tommy fans' if not mentioned that the original credits say the same thing, would pop in and have their own say about it.
