@aarrmmeenndd100 No point in having 2 air superiority fighters. We have the F-35 because its a strike fighter, designed mainly for air to ground.

@aarrmmeenndd100 F-35 has a lot more capabilities over the Harrier. It can go supersonic for starters, the Harrier can't. It has all types of avionics, sensors and electronics the Harrier doesn't. It has stealth, etc. It is a much better jet than the harrier the only thing in common is the vertical take off.
