@vlbhb i was running the latest JacHero rom but it became unstable after 3 months so i ditched it for a modded 1.6 rom with black skin/theme. my G1 is super fast now and kept the Hero keyboard and Multitouch

@planchik I don't think apple will come with much other stuff then it already has. One problem for an iphonekiller is the applefanboys, who buys only products with an apple on.

i agree.. i dont think N1 is the iphone killer yet.. but with future generation i can see it surpass the iphone... but like you said, lets see what apple comes out with in the future

In that case they should simply refer to android OS. which seems to be improving very quickly. Everyone refered to the Droid as the killer, now its switched over to the N1. I think we really need to wait to see how apple will surprise with the new iphone OS.

I'll definitely buy one if it can be rooted. but being a 'google phone' and not just another android phone, i'd expect alot more software support and market share than say, my htc magic which is being left behind in software updates unless you root it and install custom roms

What are you guys talking about? The iphone died with the first android phone last year. Its just trendy for yuppies and rich kids thats why its still popular.
