I'm only 15, but from what I've learned jazz music is more than just "basic" music. If you play it like you do, that should be because you've been sitting behind your piano till 4 AM every day for the last 10 years - because you really know what you're talking about - not because you happen to know what a blue note is and how to play some chords now and then.

Notice at about 0.18 he says he gonna play a 'C to F to G' chord progression and then plays an G, C and D.
