  • id say dont test, just know where it is, but it's better to do that than be out of tune. where are u talking about tho? there's nowhere in this piece where ive ever had to test for a note.

  • yeah, she shouldn't check the note like that. i think it is rude to the orchestra that is playing. i was always taught to listen as i pressed my figure to the string....i don't know if that makes sense. lol.

  • Testing a note with the bow? Isn't that considered a no-no? Just because the orchestra's playing loud does that make it okay? (I honestly don't know the answer to that. I was taught to pizz. a note if you have to test it, but maybe that's just me.)
