@BabaaNii It is called a stud pile. Stallions do that in the wild, and often geldings do it as well. Whoever's manure is on top, is the top horse.

The part where they paw at the ground and then roll was interesting to me, because my dog does the same thing in my backyard. I wonder if it's because they smell something they like?
