  • its a A320

  • its ethylene glycol

  • ERJ 170's and ERJ175 are not the same

  • The aircraft is sprayed with composite liquids containing alcohol, glycol or even salts. This is done in an effort to lower the freezing temp of water. Propylene glycol is what is used lots of time. Its similar to the coolant chemical used in your vehicle.

  • Ok, c'mon, there's ground crew out there somewhere. that can answer...is it alcohol that they spray the skin with?

  • It's not an Embraer, first of all. And Air Canada doesn't have E170s, only 175s & 190s.

  • ooww!

    whatever!

  • The aircraft you guys are on was indeed an Airbus. Now if it was an a319, 320, or 321 i cannot tell from your POV.

However, the aircraft across from you was a Boeing 767.
