Bear in the City

I came home from the bike shop only to see two police cars pulled up at the corner of my block. I asked some neighbours, who were standing on the sidewalk watching the spectacle, what was going on. Apparently there was a bear up the tree! So I grabbed my low quality camera and took some pictures and video.

It's quite ironic. We get lots of bears near the gallery where I work--MNR came by the day before, in fact, and set up a bear trap. But this is the first time I've seen one--and in the city instead!
