I just purchased a samsung captivate running 2.1. Everyone I know with a android device is running 2.2 froyo or 2.3 Gingerbread. Does both versions have tethering/wifi hotspot? As someone new to Droid do you have any detailed videos on installing 2.2 or 2.3? I'm using a macbook pro and don't want to download the wrong thing and Brick my phone.
