Joe, you're the man, but we went to the moon. Keeping a secret for one person is hard, but for hundreds or thousands of NASA workers? I'm sure the Russians reviewed everything the U.S. did in order to get to the moon and if something seemed fishy they would have said something. I bet they even tried to bribe some NASA workers into telling the truth. Also, don't we have satellite pictures of the real landing site of Apollo?

I don't know about this Joe. I mean, do you really think that if average guys are able to figure this out that the massive Soviet empire would get duped? I mean, I'm pretty sure the first man landing on the moon is gonna be peer reviewed by Soviet scientists.  I don't think we could trick such a scientifically advanced government such as them that we did this.

You do know that observatories from all over the world followed the Apollo spacecraft as it left orbit and went to the moon, right?

So to claim it was a fraud would mean that all those countries were part of the hoax.

The museum found it in the personal effects of the former Dutch prime minister, they mistakenly catalogued it as a moon rock and stored it for 20 years. Later they realized their mistake when they found out it was a piece of petrified wood. They were NEVER told it was a moon rock by anybody, it was an error on their part which they later admitted.
