@strongsock This reply is probably 2 years to late, but if you see someone who swings their arm after release, it usually means their arm is relaxed when they throw the ball. I know from personal experience, when I'm not doing good, it's because I'm not following through(arm swing). When I do follow through after release, I usually am more consistent, and get more hand in the ball, and if feels good too. Don't force the arm swing, just let it happen.
repetition through practice helps, yes. If you need to work on something, overexaggerating the movements to make sure you are doing it is a great tool.
