I tested all 8 transformers on this Darfon inverter I pulled from a 26" Proton HDTV that would power up but quickly go dark. All pairs of leads read 0.00 M ohms except one. The one that didn't read 0.00 M ohms is the one I replaced and fixed the TV.

This video was taken with a digital still camera so don't expect anything fancy. :)

  • lcdparts has them for about $22. If you haven't already click on the (more info) link for this video and click the link to the instructable on how I fixed this TV. :)

  • i just did the same thing for my lcd t.v. but instead of replacing i just decided to re solder, but it didn't work. Where did u find a replacement transformer for the Darfon inverter?
