"Thank You" By Ray Boltz

So I have gotten 100s of comments concerning Ray's coming out. I think we are all very shocked, but I had to not post most of them because they were simply too mean-spirited. When I said before I would not post mean-spirited comments concerning this, I did not mean comments saying they disagreed with his choice are considered mean-spirited and would not be posted. I meant I will only post comments that came with good intentions, and not from a judgemental mind.
I'm not going to go into is homosexuality right or wrong, is it a choice or some gene that is built in at birth. But I will say I still love ray's music. He has sang and written some of the greatest gospel songs ever and I am scared for him and feel sorry because I can only imagine the kind of comments he's getting and a lot of people are going to shun him for this. It is okay to tell someone you do not agree with their lifestyle, or do not understand it. But I think it is VERY important to remember God wants us to hate the sin not the sinner so if you express concern for their souls, do it with a loving heart. Do not just stick your nose up at them and say "your going to hell" because that just pushes them farther away. I've learned this the hard way. Remember that God's Love is for EVERYONE, and when he died on the cross he was doing it not only for you, but for Ray as well.
What if it was your father who came out? Or your brother? your friend? You may not agree with their choice but, if your any kind of person you would still love them. How would you feel if people made the kind of comments to them that you all have been making to Ray? Bottom line, just, pray for this sitatuion that God will move and will have his way. In the meantime, some of you need to get your noses out of the air long enough to examine YOURSELVES and why you think that you are the one exception to the fact that gossiping, hatred and judging are all sins as well.

Please remember that when we say "I am a CHRISTian", we are saying "I represent CHRIST". To the secular world, they dont know God on a personal level. They associate how God feels about them with how Christians treat them. When I backslide, I was doing things I shouldnt do and felt very convicted. I was still going to church though, but the moment I stepped in the door I was bombarded with "your on your way to hell" comments. Nobody wants to hear a list of all the things they need to fix. What happened? I just stopped going to church and fell even further. Please remember there is a reason why the world sees Christians as judgemental hateful and just cruel. Because the kind of comments that are on this video. To all the people who feel shunned and unaccepted by the christian community, remember they dont decide weather you go to heaven or hell, that is all between you and God. Please do not get the impression all Christians are this hateful. When God called for christians to witness He did not intend for them to do everything but spit on them. GOD IS LOVE. HE LOVES YOU. Let me say that one more time, GOD LOVES YOU, just as much anyone else. Just talk to Him, He will convict you on anything you need to change, you'll just know. In the meantime, please don't think ALL christians are self-righteous, there are a few REAL christians out there.

The bottom line is we are all sinners. Scripture says if you break one commandment you are guilty of breaking them all, so none of us can point fingers. As others have commented, God loves us sinners but hates the sin. Christians need to be very careful about coming across as accusatory and hateful, it just drives people away and gives them an excuse to avoid church altogether, which is just the opposite of what we are trying to do. When it comes to homosexuals in your/our/my church: love them!

You are so right, I had no idea about his being Gay, was just looking for a song, but regardless God is still on the throne, and this is not to big for God..This just means we need to lift out brother, not throw stones, because I AM NOT without sin, & judgement is the Lord's job..Lord YOU have your way in Ray's life, Lord YOU make the crooked way sraight, you speal truth into each of our lives, & give us compassion & understanding for each other, let Love lead us.

well this is news to me i had no idea that ray was gay but this makes me happy to know that I'm not the only 1 that understands that god loves us all equilally and won't ever leave us just because of sexuality

I love his music! Truly worshipful. He is very talented, however, he will discover that it is all in vain. God destroyed Sodom & Gomorrah. God loves the sinner and hates the sin. Are we to continue to embrace this music? That's something that you need to take to the Lord. Pray for Ray. Pray that he repents from this horrendous lifestyle.

I think this is a good song. When my grandpa passed away, that's what they sang.
