@TheLoneWolf258 How can they be a nuisance to the ecosystem that they are part of. If they are an invasive species then yes, but their habitat range has been severely reduced due to paranoid hunting.

Alligator gar is quite delicious, and are one of the toughest to catch, over caught em up to 10ft long, I prefer far fishin over any other fish.

Northern Pike in Canada can be huge....a muskellunge even bigger and at a place called Point Lake In Northern Alberta there are some huge Lake Trout. In the Arctic Circle near James Bay there are also monstrous fish...Just saying....Love a good fish take and personally I would not want to be on the receiving end of a bite from one of those Alligator Garrs....great pictures....Keep on posting....

These things are viscous and not worth the time, they taste like dirt, but they are impressive to show off :P

Once those things get to a certain size, I guess they have no predators except people huh?
Very cool video, those things are huge!!
I'd love to go Gar fishing. The closeet thing we have to that in Canada are Northren Pike..... but Pike don't get over 200lbs!

I catch smaller (;

Ey Guys, whats the name of this song? please help
I really don't think that most of them never got released back into the water like they say, there
was not one bit of video showing them being let go back into the lake or river.If they did they should of showed it like any other fishing show does. Sorry guys just my opinion!

@columbetti2008 we all have an opinion - right and wrong depending on the circumstances but in best interests of this video the fish and capture were of prime importance not the release footage
