thats an awesome pet but the striper would break the tank as it feeds and gets bigger, can you buy killie as fishing bait?

Maybe an oscar in shit water conditions will stunt, but when you keep an aquarium healthy the fish will outgrow it. Trust me. It's my business. I have had to relocate countless fish due to overgrowth.

@saltycreefer but it is different in fishes. A Oscar raised in a 10 gallon will not exceed its surroundings. it will only reach a certain size until it is moved into a bigger tank.

NOt TRUE. I have worked with aquariums all my life. That's like saying a person will stunt if they are raised in 1 room for their lifetime. Not the case.

@bmp902 hmm i can't help you on that.. i'm sure a simple google search can point you in the right direction. I think your best bet will be with hybrids.

@artsnflies i was never aware of how aggressive they were. i was fly fishing one night in very shallow water and there were fluke breaking the surface everywhere. an interesting sight to see.
