Kim Clijsters makes her mark on the US Open Series again by defeating Maria Sharapova for the Cincinnati title. Sharapova dropped out of the Rogers Cup in Montreal due to injury along with top players Venus Williams, Serena Williams, and Samantha Stosur. Venus formed a new relationship with Ralph Lauren Polo, is raising money for a good cause, and webcasting a tennis clinic.
