It was a nice hotel not expensive. The diving was very good. The staff were friendly but please tip a little I suggest taking US $1 bills for tipping or you can always use convertible Pesos (Cuban money) do not tip with foreign coins as they cannot exchange them (Canadians no Loonies or Twoonies). Do not take large US$ denominations for spending/shopping. The exchange shop charges a tax on top of it. At the time the CDN$ was 1.20 to 1 US$ (worth less at the time) but we got more Pesos for the CDN$ than US$
