I came here because people kept saying the black key's everlasting light sounds like this song.

Electric Warrior is one of the best albums of all time...my opinion, but, I'm sticking to it!

Damn I loved Everlasting Light, but I listened to Mambo Sun first.... Forgot about Mambo Sun until somebody mentioned on an Everlasting Light video they sounded alike.

They're on the same chords that's why, they go E to Cm. And since they have grooves to the rhythm people just say they sound alike.

They don't even sound THAT similar. Maybe the guitar riff and the beat are the same style but its nothing that assumes the Black Keys are "ripping them off" as people seem so inclined to say on the everlasting light video.

the black keys "everlasting light" seems to take many cues from this song

What a stone fucking groove this song is. Sounds so spontaneous and effortless, but also like no one could improve it if they took 1000 years.

You who thinks that this song is legendary, and lifechanging and beautiful, its beacause you know what means to sing from the soul, and that`s exactly what this band is all about! If you watch one interview with Marc Bolan, you`ll see that he was first rock star to sing about romance and not about sex,drugs......Enjoy good natured people!

He's basically just singing the bass line an octave higher...
