L2D Q5 is the one to get.
-
if you could just get one, would you get the p2d or p3d, considering the size, weight and the power?

Hey Techwg, you tried a Fenix T1 yet? How's it compare to the P3D? BTW, thanx for the really useful reviews...it's a public service

P3D Q5 would be my one, because its small, takes 2 cells, can use rechargables, has low low power mode, all the way upto super high mode, and its smoother beam is good for most things. However the 1 cell light (P2D) is very consealable, so you can have covert lumens if you need them. It depends on what you want.

I am a tactical advisor and I would say this is good compared to high end flashlights like INOVA or Surefire but not sure if these will last long than the high end ones.

Do you mean runtime or actual physical life? I would say its sturdy, but if you overuse turbo mode for extended periods, you can damage the led and reduce its brightness over time.

No they are good quality. If you recieved a bad one, and you throw down on the whole brand, then you are a fool. Thats like saying "Ford cars are shit, because my tire got slashed first day i had it". Idiocy
