I met Spam at the first UK Wishbone Ash convention in Solihull - spent a few mins talking to him privately. REALLY nice, genuine guy! I have one of his own albums as well - under the artiste name "O'Ryan" - "Something Strong". That's pretty good as well.
I'm well aware that RTTB is an album that polarises opinion among Ash fans probably more than any other (with poss. exception of Psychic Terrorism and its predecessor (title of which I can't remember offhand). And yes, just like Marmite (nice analogy celticrootstv) I love it, and those two experimental ones as well.
Hi guys, I actually thought I was not really that bad! for a Paddy! Its like Marmite you either love it or hate it and I love it! Great memories though!
I saw Wishbone Ash twice in 1971 ..Once in San Antonio and the second time was at the Great Fillmore West in SanFran. while visitng a fellow soldier friend stationed at Letterman General just before we got orders for overseas Surgery duty. SF had so many great venues to see the worlds greatest bands I wish all of you could hv been there !
Wow, I had never seen this incarnation of Wishbone, one of my all time favorite bands. I fear I've been permanently scarred.

spam is a very good singer, but not for the wishbone style - too hard, loud and heavy.
