This is a project I did for school. I coded it in C# using OpenGL and Leslie Sanford's MIDI toolkit. The MIDI playing is from VGMusic.com but the sequencer's name was not given (the title is "Zeal" - Corridors of Time from Chrono Trigger).

This program is like a real-time, interactive version of Animusic. You can play along with the music if you have a MIDI instrument, and you can change around the animated instruments or add new ones. I loaded the Chrono Trigger MIDI for this video and made some moves/changes during the video just to demonstrate these things.

At around 1:10, you should be able to hear the grid-based instrument pan to the left/right as I move it around.
