http://robistech.com This is my review of the best NAS like device I have ever had. I gotta thank http://pogoplug.com again for sending this along for review. I love this device! Simple, easy to use, reliable, and affordable!

  • Can a usb hard drive be, when plugged into the usb pogoplug port be accessed by other PC via the Routers local network, without having to go thru the outside world wide internet interface. So said differently, If I dont have interner provider, can I still connect the hard drives to the pogoplug, then connect the pogoplug to the router, hence having a "NAS" fron local PC to local PC?

  • @timstropky Unfortunately not. One of the biggest downfalls of the device is that it does not function as a true local NAS. You can connect hard drives to the Pogoplug, but you have to go through pogoplug's desktop app, which goes out to the internet and mount the connection, therefore not mounting it as a true local drive, and you won't get the same speed. I really wish they woud make better local NAS support, there desktop software is awful. Hope this helps.

  • if you connected to a wireless hhd it would be MUCH FASTER 420mbps-1000mbps!!! internet speed 700kbs or in my case 200kbs.

  • If I wasn't able to mount pogoplug as a virtual drive in linux, I'd throw it in the trash! The first android pogoplug app hardly worked, but at least I could view .avi files. The new app has a pop up that says"must have video player that supports .avi files",although with the original app I used the default video player on my elocity a7 and it played these files just fine. Don't waist you money.

  • Hi there, can you tell me the make/brand/model of those cool lights you decorated your shelf with? (b/c I'd like to buy some)

    Thanks!

  • OMG! this is totally a Chris Pirillo spoof! except the monitors are weak!

Personally I don't like Pirillo's delivery style because he can't get to the point quick enough. you got the delivery just right...with a lot of "uh uh those those um um" in the sentences

  • Does this interface well w/ itunes?

  • Hey it kinda' looks like your at Chris Pirillo's House! :-)

  • Blinky lights are kewl...Nuff Said
