I quited using those "no-brainer" sharpeners because of bad experiences... And i could put a waaay better edge on myself.. But this one seams good, would be awesome to have so i don't have to bring a honing stone out when i hunt and have to skin the game..

How would that work on a small tanto pocket knife with the bottom half serrated?

I bought one on november. This has been my first and only Paypal transaction and I was a little skeptical, but I gave it a try. I have been able to replicate that kind of cutting in every single knife. I have done machetes, all of my pocket knives and all the knives in my cafeteria. I want to note that if you do have a different geometry, you will have to work it with a file or something.

it works good for touching blades up. For stuff that's really been worked and abused hard, you should professionally sharpen it.
