Arguably the greatest athlete of all time yet he still sought validation from his Dad...this video makes me more of a fan of Slater than ever before, the guy is deep and intelligent and an incredible ambassador for the lifestyle and sport of surfing. I know you'll never read this, Kelly, but there's no doubt that your Pops is with you on every wave you ride...now go win number 11 for all us Florida surfers!
