I actualy don't have a copy of Waxpoetics but I do have the "Ginger Baker In Africa" and the Konkombe DVDs. It's clear to me and everybody else who knows this stuff that this "trailer" is a collage of stolen original footage from these two documentaries and a couple of Fela DVDs. Everything else was shot in Europe. You also took hundreds of record cover scans from my site to post on your now defunct afrka70.com site without even asking. Not throwing stones, just stating facts.
If you'd care to know where I came by this footage as well as any other info - please refer to the Africa issue of Wax Poetics magazine, 2010. Since you are featured as well I trust you have a copy. Look before you throw stones my friend. I'm a great fan of Voodoo Funk. Shame you don't take the time to research things here on the web as you do in searching for your music. This trailer was unofficially leaked to you-tube - I trust we will cross paths at some point.- Kind Regards - Raymond Dumas
the video above contains of stolen footage from "Ginger Baker In Africa", "Konkombe -the Nigerian Pop Music Scene" and various Fela DVDs. All of which can be found on Amazon. The only footage this so called "film maker" shot himself were a few street scenes in Paris (cut so quickly that you can't see where it's at) and an interview with an English record collector...
again I restate my original comment.

This is nothing but a compilation of stolen footage.
It seems like the so called film maker ordered everything that came up on Amazon after typing "Afrobeat" into the search engine.
Ridiculous.
