Hannah's POV

I pinned on my name tag as I ran into the Target I worked at. I'd been held up at home because Pepper was under my bed and I couldn't get her out. I pulled my hair back into a low ponytail and clocked in. I was here from 10 am until 6 pm. Gah it was gonna be a long day. My first customer was an lady with 3 children who was buying a coffee maker,3 coloring books, and three boxes of crayons. I smiled as I handed the change to her. Behind her was an elderly couple who were buying a bag of dog food and a bird feeder. Again I smiled and handed them their change. My day was going to go on forever like a slow healing scab....

I walked back to my register after my break and turned on the light saying I was open. I uncapped my Dr. Pepper and took a drink while I waited for customers. After a while a guy walked up. He had a set of Ipod speakers and headphones. "Hello." I greeted in the 'I really don't want to be here right now what your buying is a piece of crap I can't believe they are only paying me minimum wage You're kinda cute I'm being paid to act happy' kind of way. He smiled. "I remember having to work here...." He said with a smile then he frowned. "I feel extremly sorry for you." I laughed. "I've only been working here for two weeks and I've missed Miss Piggy's since day one." I said. "Miss Piggy's?" I asked. "It was an Ice Cream shop in Nashville." I informed. "Ah...Well There's a pretty nice little ice cream shop around here, You wanna go there some time?" He asked. "Uh......How old are you?" I asked. "19, You?" He asked. "18..." I said. I handed him his change. "Cool. I'm Kevin by the way." He said. "I'm Hannah. Thanks for shopping at Target." I laughed and handed him his receipt. "Hannah...I like it." He laughed and walked away. "Niice.."

-The Next Day-

I walked out of my house with Pepper on his leash. I was wearing my favorite American Eagle boot cut jeans and a green Hollister Cami Tank. I hadn't had a day off since I started work and I took this one of for two reasons 1) I didn't want to work from 10 to 10 and 2) I needed to shop for school.

So I was going to take Pepper for a walk then take Ali and Sara out to the mall. I put Pepper down and we started walking we got to the park when I saw a familiar face. "Well if it isn't Miss Hannah!" He said walking over to me. "Hi Kevin." I blushed. "So, yesterday I never got your number." He said. "Oh Yea..." I said. I handed him my phone and he handed me his. We each put our numbers in. "Well...I've gotta get home I promised my sisters I'd go shopping with them." I said he waved and Pepper and I walked home.
