They are trying to out latino the repubs and many dare i say most latinos are making this a one issue vote the reality is most would not vote repub even if they vote for the dream act. I think mccains former embrace of amnesty hurt his chance with his own party for the presidency. Yes voter fraud happens and i am sure it did in a couple arizona districts and definatley in nevada, probably in colorado and california

@utubecenseorstruth This Act is trying to "mint" more Democrats. The targeted age is 16 to 30. They would receive greencards. Green card holders are not generally eligible to vote, but it is up to the individual municipality. Which party do you believe the new green card holders would vote for. The Republicans wanted the children to have been educated in our school system completely (K-12). But that would not mint enough Dems before 2012. Simple math.

The Democrats need to expand their voter base. The Dream Act would grant green cards to millions of presently illegal immigrants. Although green card holders are not generally eligible to vote, it is up to each individual municipality. I wonder which party would the "new" voters cast ballots for. If the drafters of this bill was serious about helping those that are "American except for the paperwork", they would lower the affected age from 15 to 5. Instead the focus is on immediate votes.
