  • My severe clinical depression and BPD use to keep me in my own personal prison. Although change isn't easy it's definitely worth it! I appreciate the difference AA and NA make in people's lives but the truth is, CR is definitely the right direction for me. I need God in my life. More than anything! Keep comin' back! It works if you work it and it won't if you don't! I speak peace to all those suffering and hurting, or in the place where I was at when I first started this journey.

  • @DeathRate720 Thanks for sharing your comments. I hope your CR group Thrives and helps lots of people.

  • @DeathRate720 CR....?

  • @pepperlemonade Celebrate Recovery

  • I love this. I have read Celebrate recovery and I really like the 12 steps bible basic. I am a member of NA. At the 12th step I found out that God was there for me the whole time. I would love to have the cords for this. Could you send them to me? Also be careful there are people on YT that hates the 12 steps and God. So be mindful then people are commenting God Bless and always if you need help knock and the door shall be opened.

  • Traditional recovery has been a big help to me. My life was out of control. I started going to meetings, got a sponsor, reading the Big Book "AA" doing the steps and then giving back. Started giving back by leading worship for Celebrate Recovery. This song is the Serenity Prayer, word for word. the cords are easy, C,G, F and Dm. I throw in a C2 sometimes. flavor to taste! I have the cord chart as a Word doc. if you want it.

  • @DeathRate720 I suffer from BPD, APD, NPD, and HPD as well as conduct disorder. I also have an extensive history with substance abuse and you're completely correct. NA and CR are phenomenal. Thank you for your post. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only dual diagnosis person.

  • @wasabivan79 I can't even tell you how A W E S O ME! the CR group is at Crossroads church in Loveland, CO. I'm not stumping for them or anything, trying to get anyone who lives in Loveland, CO to visit the Celebrate Recovery at Crossroads church or anything. It's just amazing how the people there welcome everyone regardless of the hurt(s), habit(s) or hang up(s) people bring with them! God is so good!

  • Hey man I love your original on the this timeless prayer! I just put one up on youtube of my own, if you want to check it out. I think I like yours better (you have a very nice feel for the guitar, good sound quality) but its always fun to get sacred like these words in different melodic form... search on "JD Sebastian - Serenity Prayer"

  • I like the song. I attend celebrate recovery as well, and am involved on the worship team. I would like to learn the song, could you send me the Word doc ?
