  • I am impressed with the book and the audio cd book presentation,,,,the author is highly skilled and his subjects showed immense bravery to explore the depths of the ocean 60 miles off New Jersey Coast....

(DerrUFO is online name I use... I am a UFO Researcher since 1991 and veteran USAF)

  • John and Ritchie are legends in the diving community. I have heard their names mentioned in dive shops and at dive sites since I got into the sport in 1995. I have done some wreck diving myself.....not as deep as these guys go...but to actually see and swim over and through a shipwreck on the floor of the ocean is something that only a relatively few people on this planet have done. I have the utmost respect for these gentlemen. By the way I just read Shadow Divers. Riveting story.

  • Shadow Divers was one of the best, and most honest, book's I have read. I've never seen the movie Hitler's Lost Sub, hopefully it is reasonably close to the book. If you haven't read the book you can't appreciate how they felt about this sub, which essentially sunk itself. It was, to them, a grave and something to be respected not vandalized.

  • everybody else does the work..these Bob Ballard wannabees just step in to get the credit for something already found.

  • They deserve a little more appreciation for their work. They watched friends die for the same goals that they wanted. They made fierce enemies and strong friendships through their endeavors. I only wish that I could do a fraction of the things that these guys consider "easy". I admire them for the work they have done. I don't know them and probably never will, but they are legends in the field they work in. I just think they deserve a little more respect than being called thieves...

  • I read the book that these guys put out and there is no work-poaching going on... At least on the particular account of the mystery U boat off of New Jersey. I have not met either Richie Kholer nor John Chatterton, but even in reading a book I saw a passion and a calling for these men to do what they do. Just as breathing or blinking is first nature to us, these guys were born to do what they do. I can't call anyone's character into question, but I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt

  • shadow divers is a good title, because that's exactley what they do. stand in the shadows while someone else does all the work and then they coat-tail for some publicity. these two clowns are nothing but Bob Ballard wannabees

  • @kerndtsr Follow up on someone elses work. Are you kidding me? Have you read Shadow divers because you have no idea how much Richie and his "Co-host" John worked. Maybe you should get your facts straight before calling this a joke.

  • this guy is a joke! his show is a joke! his partner is a joke! All these guys do is follow up on someones elses hard work. They couldn't find a Ernie's rubber-ducky in a bathtub.

  • Hey Slurpee shut your ass up .......Whats your prob .Get a life . Richie is awesome and he is just a kid from brooklynn with ambition...Stop hating
