just splendid! I should say I prefer her in dramatic soprano repertoire which to my mind suits better her voice, too high and bright for a mezzo. Nice trick with a laugh, added a slight demonic touch to the performance.

I've come back to this a year later and I'm still overwhelmed by the power of voice and the brilliant characterization of Lady Macbeth. Only Verdi could capture Shakespeare.

What an amazing rendition of this aria.
When she laughed(evilly) in the middle it made my blood run cold LOL
She was at one with the orchestra and really made me feel that her Lady macbeth would do anything to get her way!

OMG was that great. 11 years ago. Hard to believe, but Zajick is singular in her career. She came as Cossotto, Verrett and Bumbry were fading. Baltsa already fizzled. No one has come after. She's one of the few great voices in front of audiences today.
