@Chrthom92 For a good artist to sound great on TV has more to do with the skill of the sound technicians, and EWF -with so many musicians and instruments to equalize and put in the same balance as their albums - was a challenge above the heads of most TV studio sound techs in those days. Their sound quality would have come out a lot poorer, affecting their record sales, and maybe their morale.
That's the way of the world!

@lancetop I believe they could've played live if they choose to do so, and still sounded great!!! Unlike today's so called artists!!!!

@Chrthom92 I agree, they could have played live, but wouldn't have been able to include the costume changes.
