When you attract wildlife to your yard, you may not welcome all the species who show up.
An abundance of wildlife is a wondrous thing, but it may mean putting up with unwelcome wildlife.
Homeowners plant trees for shade to attract songbirds.
But trees also house woodpeckers that sometimes hammer on house siding.
You can reduce damage around your home by eliminating what attracts the wildlife, whether its food, water or shelter... by closing off your house... and routinely checking for damage.
You don't have to invite wildlife in when it comes knocking at your door.
