Jackson Mabry sings us through his 3-year experience at Carolina Law. Part of the 2011 UNC Law Revue.
Written and performed by Jackson Mabry.
Lyrics:
Well it's 8:15 on Thursday morning, just crawled outta bed.
Stayed too long at Bob's again, and I've got an achin' head.
Con Law at 8:45, due process comin now
But if Nichol sweats just one more drop, I think I'm gonna drown.
I'm a 1L here at Carolina, just tryina make it through
I just love all my classes, and I done some interviews.
But I thank my dear John Kasprzak, and Kelly Podger Smith,
For letting me go to law school here and giving me my wish.
In interviews, I'm sitting here, and I think I just might die.
That fat-ass corporate lawyer asks why I'm qualified,
Well he glances at my resume, asks me son what have you done,
I've been here 'bout a year or so, and I haven't tried to run.
I'm a 2L here Carolina, tryina make it through
I've taken classes I just flat hate, and I'm sick of interviews.
I hope that Career Services will find us all a job
But I'm sure it'll all work out just fine, here at Carolina Law
So I head into the library, to get some reading done,
but some good-for-nothing 2L's are having too much fun.
So I look 'round for a carrel, but I just find 1Ls with their books
So I head on up to Franklin Street, to watch the Heels beat Duke
I'm a 3L here at Carolina, guess I made it through
Well I checked out back in August, and I've nothing better to do
Sit here bored in class, talking about our new point guard
Gchat with my friends, and pray I'll pass the bar.
