@ImproveYourLifeNOW Are you stating that, in your eyes, Americans are unworthy of practicing Asatru, or Odinism? I, myself, am of Anglo-Saxon and Celtic descent (English, Irish, and Scottish) Am I unworthy of practicing the religion of my ancestors merely because I happened to be born in Texas? I think not.
-
@PhilippedeHerte The Aesir allowed Jotuns into their fold readily, do not be so quick to dismiss any of your roots. Even Magni and Modi are half giants, yet they will take up Thor's hammer! The Aesir do not care about races, or they would not have let the Vanir into their fold. The God/deses show the way, we merely have to be open to them! I on't expect people to listen, but think! Look to the Gods! They include entire other races into their fold so long as they adopt their ways!!!

@ManelinhoAraujinho no, it is not. Respecting your ancestry is, but who you are means nothing. To be Asatru (a scholars term, not mine, I am Heathen, not simply Asatru, I venerate not just the Aesir, but the Vanir, the land wights and my ancestors), is to put forth the effort to adopt the culture of the ancient heathens, whom we are only nominally related to (we are separated by over 1000 years of genetics, man kind continues to change, we are different from them).

@RolloOfTheNorth There is no best, "our" ways were destroyed a thousand years ago. I speak like an enlightened human being (though I am not one), political correctness is not the issue here, honesty, science and the TRUTH are the issues here. It may be Native to Germanic Europe, but it was by no means exclusive, we were inclusive people, we respected and took part in another culture, because we had no prejudices of that sort. Effort is what is required, not arbitrary looks.

@ImproveYourLifeNOW This pseudo science is an insult to the God of Wisdom, do not defile our beliefs! "Particular mini-world"? No this is foolishness, when we raided and enslaved we expected them to join our societies after a fashion, we are inclusive, so long as they adopt our ways. The body is but a shell of the spirit and how that spirit chooses to express itself is the defining point. Multiracialism does not undermine tradition, being blinded by prejudice does.
-
I thought that universalism was just about letting anyone, no matter what the ethnicity, join in? Not eclectic paganism.
-
i look in the mirror and i DON'T see my ancestors. now what?

Steve seems like the nicest guy. Hail the Old Ways!

What Mr McNallen states about the importance of ancestry is very true. What better way for a people to be aglutinated and assimilated than to lose its ties to its past?
Im from Sweden.
A nativeamerican practicing a tradition made by MY ancestors who lived in MY woods and by MY rivers who gave birth to me? Each ancestral-religion has a particular mini-world which resonates with the individual. What we are is a part of who we are. Multiracialism is a modern element which undermines traditions.
Evolutionists recognize that humans have been very tribal, defensive and exclusive and associate along lines of recognized shared ancestors. 'Understanding human history'

I am very glad that Mr. McNallen is speaking up with very little 'political correctness', if you will allow me the term. It's about time we started speaking like normal human beings again and not worrying about 'offending' the globalized culture that is destroying our heritages, cultures, spiritualities, etc. I have actually been called a racist because I say Asatru is native to germanic Europe. McNallen said it best: "It's what's best for us."
