Great to see vibrant wing chun. This tape is not sparring, it is a chi sau exercise, usually done to test the doy ying or ability to not be turned from the centerline. In chisau one should not fashion circles but instead execute economical efficient techniques. Many play forcefully but, better to play very light & not be controlled by force. One may be explosive one moment and dissapear the next but never forced to engage in brawling, instead using more advanced techniques that overcome force.

thats good, the opponent stiffens up because they want to get past the guard, therefore it is helping the master gain leverage, they loose their balance, they get sloppy, and eventually gets worned down physically and mentally, thus a easy win for the master, good job.
