Do the magnums with just the 3.5 engine go about this fast? I'd like to get one of these but want to save alittle more money on gas

@vinny4 i had the vortex on my ram and it didnt drone ...i switched to the extreme tho because the vortex isnt loud enough lol.

@drummerjaguilar compared to a 1.2 diesel car doing 55 on the highway this is horrible. Lovely car tho, friend of mine has one. It's just so comfy!

When you buy a V8 now, you shouldn't even ask about fuel economy, of course it won't be that great. Most people who buy V8's now aren't going for economy, it's the power and fun that only a huge 8 can deliver. In winter city driving it's like my magnum has a hole in the tank, but on the hwy it's amazing. I drove approx 720miles to Alberta from Winnipeg last week and I only used a little over 1.5 tanks while cruising at about 70MPH (110KPH).

Well I WAS happy with the sound of my magnaflows on my '05 Magnum RT...but now because of this video I have to go spend money on those kind of mufflers! That sounds beautiful. I'll probably have to go with those mufflers on my '61 Impala w/409 I'm restoring too. If they sound that good on a 345CI (5.7L) hemi I imagine they'll sound like rolling death on a 409CI (6.7L) big block chevy!

You have any drone with this exhaust?
vinny4 1 year ago
ZERO drone. Not even when MDS kicks in. When the four cylinders shut down, the tone changes, but none of the annoying buzziness you get with drone.
Don't buy into the BS that you need to pay over a grand to get a cat back that doesn't drone. The Cherry Bomb sets off car alarms doesn't drone.

With a Hemi does the gas mileage really become horrible within only a matter of 2 or 3 years?
drummerjaguilar 2 years ago
No. Gas mileage has been pretty consistent from day one.
Also depends on what you mean by horrible. Keep in mind this is a 340hp 5.7L engine moving a 4,000lb + vehicle. In a mix of city/highway driving I'll get anywhere from 12-16 mpg and on long trips driving mostly 70 or above I'll get around 20 mpg.
