Technically amazing, but musically it's shit.

Batten gets a lot of attention from shredders and Michael Jackson fans, but ultimately her best work is the stuff that isn't in either camp. She did some impeccable solo pieces that were more stylistic than endurance exercises, and her two albums with Jeff Beck are really impressive, coherent works.

oh man , why did you cut the intro ??? she plays John Coltrane solo with the interuptions of the radio sounds. shame on you ! and yes, she's a great guitarist :-)
-
Great guitaring, but trying to best Coltrane is slightly pointless..

The album credits the bassist as "Robo Jaco". I found no information about any person named this so I assume its just a joking title for a programmed bass line.

a natural consequence of jazzrock, IMHO

@rory09 DO IT! YOU WON'T!

This is technically appealing, but compared to the original, I fucking hate it. It's almost offensive to my ear. Kudos to her playing ability though! I guess some music just isn't for everyone.

I'm so gonna make a bebop version of eruption... see how you guys like it!

Words cannot describe the rapture I felt when the song ended. THE SHIT HURT MY EARS
Groan. Ability and taste aren't always hand in hand. She's supremely gifted in one area.

you kidding? do you realize how difficult it is to play this? her speed, and precision are refined like a machine.
Batten is arguably the best female guitarist of the century.
