  • Hi I believe that in the early 50's Sonny Rollins may have played something like the Imperial or a little earlier. Also I see pictures of many big band guys in the 30.'s like Fletcher Henderson horn players. They were used for sure. Remember when Martin made 10,000 horns Conn made 30,000 or 40,000 so you are not going to find as many guys. They are the finest hand made products of that era (30's-60's)

    I'm wondering if you consider trade ins for this or other tenors. I have a '56 Indiana with a full new set up: ultrasonic bath/pads(ferres)/corks/felts/­repairs, But think one of yours in an older vintage, with THE right set up might be the way to go. Thanks
